Step #1
Determine the location of the awning - Where is the ideal location for the utmost use and enjoyment of my new Girard awning?
Step #2
The minimum mounting height (from the ground) is 8' 6". This will ensure proper clearance and pitch on your new Girard awning. Make sure you have at least 8' 6" clearance.
Step #3
The awning needs to be mounted on a flat surface which needs to be 8" in height (H) x the desired length (L).
Step #4
Determine the desired projection of the awning (most popular is approximately 10'). Smaller and larger projections are available on certain Girard Awning models.
Step #5
Be sure there are no obstructions that may interfere with the operation of the awning.
Step #6
If you want a powered awning, determine location of power source.
Step #7
Specify Awning Model: Elite, G-2100 or G-34 Patio Awning.
Step #8
Specify the motor/hand crank location (Left Hand or Right Hand — determine by facing the "installed" awning).
Step #9
Specify frame color — Standard colors are Cream, White or Black. Custom colors are available and all frames have a powder coated finish.

Specify Fabric color/design - We feature Sunbrella Woven Acrylic Fabrics and fabric sample books are available for your review.
